Introduction: Myanmar silver-work is an ancient industry dating back to the 13th Century. Monarchs customarily used silver and gold bowls as rewards for the ministers and the attendants' loyalty and faithfulness to the royal family. Description: This wonderful Burmese silver bowl is delicately crafted, repousse work in high relief, the geometric form mounted with a hinged lid, and decorated with paneled reserves of pronounced battle scenes on horseback surrounded by bands of acanthus scrolls, 4.5"h x 8"l x 4.25"d, acid tested, 15.31 troy oz.
