Exhibited, is a fine European antique cane with an incredible carved ivory handle in form of a dog's head, close attention to every details, sterling silver pommel with hallmark, barely visible, bronze ferrule. Size: The carved ivory handle measures 2.5 inches long and overall length of the cane is 31 inches long. This item is so delicate that it is my personal opinion that it has been crafted for display purposes, shaft is very fragile and I couldn't figure out the type of wood. Condition Report: Good condition considering age of this beautiful item, minor age crack to the dog's neck and right glass eye is out, easily can be replaced, 19th century era.
